Our 40th Year!

Bringing Live Entertainment To Our Community!

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Patrons:

Willits Community Theatre wishes to extend its thanks to you for your support and patronage through four amazing decades of performances.

We’re presently celebrating our 40th year at WCT, and wow, do we have a lot to be thankful for—including all the direct financial support that comes from local businesses, including Les Schwab Tire Center of Willits, Willits Furniture Center and Celtic Destinations Travel Agency of Willits. We’re thankful for all the wonderful support from local individual donors.  We’re so grateful for all the local talent that crosses our stage, the dedicated actors and the national and international musicians who include us on their tour map, and the standup comics and the dancers. We’re especially grateful to you and all the members of our community like you,  who actively attend and enjoy our variety of entertainments and help to make our theatre a reality.

Your individual support means all the world to us!  Our vital performing arts center exists in great part due to your audience participation and our community of boosters and supporters. With so many like-minded people in our community who value local live entertainment, we continue to operate a theatre for your enjoyment, with drama and comedy plays, music concerts, monologue specials, children’s theatre and more.

Since our inception in 1977, we have provided you with a total of 153 main stage play productions with a total overall attendance of more than 65,000 people. Presently showing at the WCT playhouse is the spiritual drama, “Grace & Glorie.” Upcoming this summer will be a children’s theater production of “The Trial of the Wicked Witch”directed by Shawna Jeavons.

Just think of all the previous amazing hits, from Cookin With Gus, to Barefoot in the Park, Same Time Next Year, Dead Man’s Cell Phone, The Angel of Chatham Square, Arsenic and Old Lace, and more recently A Christmas Carol and The Sunshine Boys. The list goes on and on and it’s amazing what an intimate and spectacular place we have to gather together in for live theatre entertainment.

We’ve also created a live music venue that brings international performing artists from around the world; including among the many greats: Celtic Harpist Patrick Ball, La Tania Flamenco Music and Dance, Caminos Flamencos, folk stars Nina Gerber and Chris Webster, slack key guitarist Patrick Landeza, Riad Abdel Gawad on his traditional Egyptian violin, and traditional Celtic artists Cassie and Maggie MacDonald from Nova Scotia, Native American Comedian Mark Yafee, R. Carlos Nakai and Will Clipman, with multiple Grammy award nominations.

Upcoming on Friday, June 20 are World Music guitar virtuosos Aaron Larget-Caplan and Peter Janson.

Your support has helped us to accomplish so much over these past 40 years.  Thank you again.

We will be celebrating our 40th year throughout 2017, so keep an eye out for upcoming special events.
